Bathroom update (from yesterday)
Ok, here's a day 2 picture of what the downstairs bathroom looked like at the end of yesterday. Dan the handyman repaired the walls behind the tub and put up some new tileboard.
Sorry this didn't get posted last night, but I was up late already and by the time I remembered to post it was 1 AM. At that point, my pillow won out & I went to bed instead of posting.

Horizontal snow?
It really does happen from time to time around here.
You can't really tell that well from the picture, but at the time it was taken, the wind was gusting probably around 30 mph, and it was snowing like crazy. Horizontally. This was, oh, about an hour ago. It has since stopped snowing and blowing altogether.
It'll probably kick back up if I decide to go out later. Let's hear it for staying in and watching movies!
I'll post an updated pic of the bathroom remodel later today after the guys working on it are done for the day.

Under (de-)construction
Right now, no less than 4 parts of our house are undergoing renovation...
This all started with the idea of replacing paneling in the basement. That quickly spread to tearing out the current basement, fixing up our two bathrooms, and painting the livingroom.
Fortunately we hired someone to come and spruce up the bathrooms. The upstairs one is almost finished, except for paint, while the other... well... the picture below speaks for itself.

Ever wonder what happens to something when you set it down and can't remember what you did with it?
That happened to me last night. I was carrying two coca-colas - was going to bring one upstairs to Ryan...
...got distracted and couldn't find them again. Oh no! Where did our cokes go??
I found them this afternoon. Opened the door to the freezer (must have put them in to get cold) and found they had exploded all over. What a mess!
Frozen Cokes, anyone?

Overwhelming updates!
I know, I haven't updated my site in better than a month. Between the flu (see December's entry,) several business trips out of town, and working on our house, it hasn't left much time for blogging anything.
(Who am I kidding, Jessica's probably the only one checking this blog lately anyhow.) When we're not working on the house, we've been digging out from under the snow. So today I'm posting a pic from sunny Florida, where it's a heck of a lot warmer right now, courtesy of the CaloosaCam, run by our pal Charly.
I think February has to be my least favorite month while living "up north". Brrr.
